The dutar  is a traditional long-necked two-stringed lute found in Iran and Central Asia. Its name comes from the Persian word for “two strings”, دوتار do tār (< دو do “two”,تار tār “string”).
We used in recording uzbek traditional dutar, which sound is apart from Iranian or other dutar types. Depending on the strokes it sound is velvet tone, warm, dulcet, energetic and with drive.
